✨ Trip Review Jan 7-Jan 14th ✨
I read so many helpful reviews so I hope this helps someone too. It's a long one I tried to include everything!
• Sunshine Flyer (Shuttle Service)•
Amazing customer service and such clean and nice shuttle busses to travel to and from the airport. We never waited long and our drop offs were very quick. We will take this every-time 100% cannot recommend them enough! The price is really good too! Car seats are not needed.
• All Star Music Resort •
PROS: I really enjoyed staying here. We did the standard room (queen size bed + queen size pull out). It was perfect for my family of 4 (2 children under 4) since we weren't in the room often. It had a chrome cast feature for the TV which I really appreciated. Being on ground floor was really nice and I'd definitely make this a priority again. Our room was ready extremely early like 12pm, we were able to get a microwave right away once requested. We ordered groceries and they were kept for us at bell service and we used bell service to move our bags to a different resort! Lots of activities for kids. We are all the way at the back of the resort and it was not a far walk to the front! Would 100% stay here again. You can use all pools at the the rest of the All Star Resorts.
CONS: The cons are very little in comparison. I did not like the shower as the water pressure was hard and had no way to switch. Room service does not clean/change the beds/sheets which was disappointing. There are no hot tubs (spas) at any of the value resorts. The big thing was the food at the food court was not good - idk if I've ever tasted worse pizza. We were really disappointed and avoided eating there.
• Pop Century Resort •
PROS: The skylines is soooooo efficient and nice to take you to Epcott/Hollywood Studios. You're right beside Art of Animation which is pretty cool to walk around and look at (can't use the pools) Bell service was great and held our bags all day after checkout.
CONS: We were not on ground floor which was really annoying but that isn't a fault of the hotel itself. The lobby bathrooms were gross when I went and our room smelt really weird. I was expecting more since this hotel is more expensive than All Star Music which we liked. The TV did not have the ability to cast. Based on this experience I wouldn't stay here again.
• Disney Transportation •
The busses come so often and are so great , I don't think we ever waited over 10 minutes. It really sucks having to fold up your stroller to get on, it can be a hassle after a long day and a sleeping kiddo/2 tired kiddos then unloading all the bags so it closes properly etc. The monorail and skyliner are also so efficient because you don't need to fold up your strollers yay! Definitely beats the bus, but the busses did their job and were so quick!
• Magic Bands •
We got the $10 magic band offer and I am sooooo happy. I don't think we need the upgraded ones based on my experience with the Resort offering $10 ones. At first I wasn't going to as you can use your phone with everything. But they are SO efficient. We didn't get any of the ones that do cool shit but it's so nice to just be able to pay for everything and unlock your room from your wrist. My phone didn't die once because I wasn't constantly using it to pay for stuff.
• Disney Genie+ •
We didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes to go on anything that accepted genie. It's pretty easy to use. We would pay for this 100% again and again. It is sooooo worth it! We passed so many huge lines and our toddlers definitely appreciated it since waiting even 2 minutes is the end of the world for them.
• Food •
I am a picky eater and not a foodie by any means. We did not really enjoy the food at Disney.
All Star Food Court: No no no no. Tried it once and we will not eat there again. Lol. How they messed up pizza that bad is a wonder.
Tony's in MK: Husband liked it. Ate my dish and his lol since I didn't like it. He got a steak and I got the chicken parm.
Pinocchios in MK: Probably my favourite Quick Service meal, the flatbreads were simple and good. We enjoyed them!
Ohana Character Meal at Polynesian: Food was decent but wish you had more of a selection since it's just a family style skillet that comes to your table. Way overpriced. Wouldn't do it again. Overrated.
Beaches & Cream: Food was decent. Simple and kid friendly! Liked it.
TRex Cafe at Disney Springs: Idk what some of the reviews are talking about in this group but we loved it here! We thought our food was so good. Better than any of the food at Disney.
Satu'li Canteen in AK : Husband got some sort of bowl and loved it!
Trilo Bites in AK: Buffalo Chicken chips were sooo good.
ABC Comissinary in HS: Buffalo chicken grilled cheese. Meh
PizzeRizzo in HS: Good pizza
Snacks
Gaston's MK: Cinnamon Bun was amazing!
Parlours Ice Cream MK: We got the Mickey sink, take away, kids loved it.
Caravan Road in AK: Shaved ice drinks. We got watermelon. So yummy!
• Park Reviews (keeping this short)•
We went with our kiddos under 4. We did MK twice (no way we could do it one day) AK for a full day no breaks. And HS for 1 day with a break.
MK - Amazing for little kids obviously! The parade is so good and wouldn't miss it. Favourite park! So much to do.
AK - SO much to do. Who ever said this is a half day park did not have little kids with them or get the full experience. The shows at this park were amazing. Nemo & Lion King in particular.
HS - This park is a little much to bring 2 little kids too. It is not built the same and is definitely geared towards older kids. It was worth it for us though for Fantasmic (best show) and Toy Story Land.
• Vacation Grocery Delivery •
I found the price to be a little expensive but it was so worth it. They were so friendly and accomedating. When we got to our resort all our food was ready for us at bell service and we would 100% use this service again. It's run by former cast members!
We can't wait to go back and are already planning our next trip. This could have been a lot more detailed but I hope this gives a gist of things. Don't want to add photos of my kiddos so here's some quick food snaps! It was definitely worth taking our kids to and even though our 20 month old won't remember we created some amazing memories with him that we will never forget. It made me tear up seeing how happy they were. ✨🥰
