Take a 30-minute train from Kinosaki Onsen to Kami Town, the birthplace of crab dishes. Compared to other areas of Japan, you can enjoy crab dishes here longer!
The crab season starts in September and lasts until the end of May, but even if you visit outside this period, there are plenty of other things to enjoy!
📍Kani-Maruya – Try the original crab rice bowl
📍Okami Park – Overlook the endless Sea of Japan
📍Old Private House Cafe & Rental Space Okami
📍KAN-ICHI – Souvenirs and fresh seafood at Farmer’s Harbour Market
There are also many affordable traditional hotels in the area if you want to stay for the night.
My recent article for Amazing Hyogo includes more locations (the link is in my story/highlights).
🚊Access: From Kinosaki Station, take a 30-minute train ride to Kasumi Station.
🚲Rent a bike at the Kami Town Kasumi Tourist Association Center next to the station, or take a walk if the weather allows.
